Amanda & Chris’s Fall Wedding in New Jersey

Amanda and Chris’s wedding day was a beautiful expression of rustic elegance, intentional design, and deeply personal storytelling. Thoughtfully captured by New Jersey Wedding Photographers Michelle Behre Photography and her team, their celebration unfolded across two charming countryside locations—The Inn at Millrace Pond and Faschan Farms, just steps apart.

From handgrown sunflowers to a ceremony officiated by the local mayor, every element of the day reflected Amanda and Chris’s commitment to authenticity, warmth, and thoughtful curation.

Getting Ready: A Calm and Intentional Morning

The day began with a quiet sense of anticipation as Amanda and Chris prepared for their wedding surrounded by the natural beauty of the Millrace Pond and the Faschan Farms properties. The atmosphere felt relaxed and meaningful, allowing space for genuine moments to unfold organically.

Every detail—from attire to personal touches—was selected with care, setting the tone for a celebration that felt both elevated and deeply rooted in the couple’s story.

First Look: A Heartfelt Moment at Home

Where Their Story Continues to Grow

One of the most meaningful moments of the day took place during Amanda and Chris’s first look, held atop the foundation of their future home. This intentional choice added an emotional depth that was impossible to replicate—symbolizing not just the beginning of their marriage, but the life they are building together.

Surrounded by the quiet countryside, the moment was heartfelt, grounding, and beautifully intimate.

Ceremony: A Farmhouse Celebration with Personal Meaning

Sunflowers, Tradition, and Community

The ceremony took place near Faschan Farms, surrounded by rustic charm and open skies. Sunflowers—handgrown and handpicked from Amanda’s very own sunflower fields at Faschan Farms—served as a defining design element, weaving personal history directly into the visual story of the day.

Adding to the significance, the ceremony was officiated by the local mayor, reinforcing the sense of community and connection that defined the entire celebration. The setting felt warm, welcoming, and unmistakably personal.

Reception: Rustic Elegance and Joyful Celebration

An Evening Rooted in Connection

As the celebration continued, guests gathered to enjoy an evening filled with laughter, conversation, and heartfelt celebration. The reception carried the same intentional spirit as the rest of the day—rustic farmhouse details elevated through thoughtful design and genuine moments.

From shared toasts to joyful interactions on the dance floor, the evening reflected exactly what Amanda and Chris envisioned: a celebration rooted in love, authenticity, and togetherness.

A Rustic Farmhouse Wedding Defined by Intention

Amanda and Chris’s wedding was a testament to the beauty of meaningful choices. Every detail—from the sunflowers grown by hand to the location choices and ceremony officiant—came together to create a day that felt authentic, elevated, and unforgettable.

Inn at Millrace Pond, Hope, New Jersey

The grounds of the Inn at Millrace Pond have hints of red, baby blues, and yellows in it’s architectural design. Mary and Ken designed such a beautiful day one-on-one with their team of vendors. The foliage, sights, and just the minimal decor was breathtaking. The bride worked with a team of such talented vendors to craft an elegant wedding day for her and Ken. This venue is managed by Frungillo Caterers and if you’re looking for a unique, rustic colonial inn in the heart of the mountains, I would highly recommend this New Jersey venue!

Couples Wedding Day Details

Just a few of my favorite and unique details from this day that Mary and Ken chose, were Ken’s burgundy tux, Mary’s gown plus details, and the incredible color combination. Ken wore a burgundy tux, black classic shirt underneath his tux, burgundy pocket square, burgundy plus patterned bowtie, and brown leather dress shoes to accent this bow tie. See black dress shirt (pictured below).

Additionally, she had beautiful white gold accessories such as her Badgley Mischka Bridal shoes, and beautiful rings from Robbins Delaware Diamonds to accent her ivory gown from Jay West Bridal.

The unique textures in fabric and alternating style of bridesmaid gowns moved the viewers eye throughout the canvas photographed by Inn at Millrace Pond Wedding Photographer.

Wedding Day Florals

Peggy Patton of The Flower Mill created handcrafted bridal, bridesmaids bouquets, unique groom and groomsmen boutonnières. Peggy’s floral decor accented the venue and its beautiful grounds. Their aroma was exquisite. The deep hues of reds and magentas of the floras contrasted beautifully against this beautiful backdrop of foliage. The orange ranunculus, burgundy dahlias, greenery, and rose pink florals were all handpicked, placed precisely, and hand crafted with artistry by Peggy and her devoted team.

The foliage was rich on their special day, accented their florals so precisely accented the beautiful grounds of their wedding at the Inn at Millrace Pond at Frungillo Caterers captured by Inn at Millrace Pond wedding photographer, Michelle Behre.

I am truly still in awe of the colors of this collection and their day was so special. Thank you so much for having me to photograph your special day. What an honor!

Congratulations, Mary and Ken!
