Once a year, Carol Ann and her family travel to Avon by the Sea for their annual summer vacation. This year was extraordinary as Carol Ann and her husband, Tom, celebrated their fortieth anniversary of marriage in Avon! This year we celebrated and captured their anniversary and Carol Ann’s granddaughter’s birthday! To make this a very special session, we captured their Avon by the Sea summer family portrait session on the beautiful boardwalk in Avon and celebrated this beautiful evening at sunset!
Family Portrait Session
Avon has a very special place in the heart of this family. Many memories have been shared in Avon, and many memories are to be created here with Carol Ann and future generations! Summer vacations to Avon have been completed year and after, for generations.
It is so wonderful to meet this family year and capture Carol Ann’s granddaughter grow!
While photographing, it was essential to capture a few extraordinary photos at the Avon beach house and then make our way towards the waterfront.
We made our way towards the pavilion, walking hand in hand, sharing a few laughs, and overlooking the beautiful Atlantic.

This family portrait session was truly a one of a kind.
The majority of my lifestyle family portrait sessions are hosted in Northern New Jersey and for this session, I had the honor of photographing a destination lifestyle family portrait session and traveled to one of my favorite seaside towns in Monmouth County, New Jersey. This very special lifestyle family portrait session was hosted at Avon-by-the-Sea, in seaside Monmouth County, New Jersey.
We began photography our New Jersey seaside session at a beautiful estate just a few steps away from the beach. The views, ocean air, and beautiful light were magnificent! Most importantly, this private estate holds a very special place to the family history, making this venue even more special! Every step, from the estate, along this boardwalk was so special and I am so happy to have shared such a special time at the beautiful Avon-by-the-Sea waterfront!
This sunset lifestyle family photography session was truly remarkable. I am speechless. It is my absolute honor to commemorate this tradition and to commemorate almost a century of your families tradition that is to be passed down to the next generation!

Tell us about why you decided to have your portraits taken:
Our family has been vacationing in Avon for over 50 years. My grandparents, both whom have passed, took us to Avon every summer growing up and now with the birth of my daughter we are continuing the Avon family tradition.
This will be the fourth generation to vacation in Avon by the sea for our family!
When was the last time you had your portraits taken?
My wedding in 2015.

Loving, kind, a close family unit
What do you want to remember about your family, right now?
My parents are giving this vacation to their new granddaughter just as our grandparents did for us.
