QUESTIONS ABOUT THE IN-PERSON CONSULTATION AND WHY I SHOULD CONSIDER ONE BEFORE MY FAMILY PORTRAIT SESSION

What is the in-person consultation and why should I consider one?

The in-person consultation is the first initial meeting and introduction to our client-vendor relationship. All client consultations are hosted in the client’s home. For me, this first meeting is crucial as I can learn more about your photography needs. So, let’s step away the screens and let’s get to know each other!

Why do families consider the in-person consultation for their portrait session?

If we are hosting a private estate session in the comfort of your home, this will give us the availability to choose the most meaningful destinations on your property to photograph your portraits. If your session is taking place outside of your private estate, I will ask you about your ideal session, and scout this venue.

Additionally, we will be choosing a time slot centered around dusk or dawn and I will provide you with times to choose from that will work accordingly with your schedule. And during our consultation, I can assist with color palettes, outfits, and accessories.

In final, we will also discuss how you would like to display your images. So, if you have a certain wall that your are interested in displaying your portraits, we’ll review that together. We tell all of our stories using wall art and table pieces.

All decisions are made and all details are finalized within the 1 hour consultation. Your session is then to be paid in full and booked. Easy peasy!

What is the difference between meeting over the phone, emailing, Skype, and the traditional route?

A vendor to client relationship is incredibly crucial. I’m here to document your family. Your engagement. Your wedding. I love building relationships with my clients and their families. First, I have to meet you to build a relationship!

It is extremely difficult and to plan your session and heirloom collection over email. I prefer to do business with my clients face-to-face as we are discussing your family and investment. And most importantly, it excites me to hear about the images you are most excited about capturing during your session!

In conclusion, additional benefits to a well planned and executed consultation include:

1. Review our incentives and what we offer our clients who invest with us.

2. Review our referral program.

Negatives:

1. Making time for the consultation.
